Molex Virtual Food Drive

Molex Virtual Food Drive

About This Campaign

The Molex TIS Division Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board (DIAB) Community Pillar is working hard to make impactful changes in communities surrounding the Rochester Hills and Grand Blanc facilities. We have chosen to support the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan in Flint to help defray this critical issue through a virtual food drive. Although we are well into the new year, the struggles of 2020 have not been left behind. Many of our friends and neighbors are facing unexpected income loss, loss of health insurance, higher medical costs, higher utility costs, even eviction. In these trying times, more people than ever need help putting food on the table. We see a need in our community and we are working to spread hope and fight hunger in our neighborhoods.

According to Feeding America and the USDA Economic Research Service, as of 2018:
- 37 million American adults (11.5% of population) suffer from food insecurity.
o Expected to increase to between 40 and 54 million adults due to 2020 COVID.
- 11.2 million American children (15.2% of population) suffer from food insecurity.
o Expected to increase to between 12 and 18 million children due to 2020 COVID.

Every $1 donated equals 6 meals and a $20 gift can feed a family of four for more than a week.
Please help us meet our goal of 2,021 meals (~$350) each quarter of 2021!
